AIA AZ and NOMAarizona Celebrate Women’s History Month with Storytelling

March 13 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

In this panel discussion, four Phoenix-area female architects with a range of experience will share stories on their career paths. The speakers, all of whom are members of both AIA and NOMA, include the first African-American female licensed architect in Arizona, Tara Brown, AIA, NOMA; newly licensed architect Nikki Hernandez, AIA, NOMA; AIA Phoenix Metro President-elect Sue Gray, AIA, NOMA; and 2022-2023 NOMA Arizona President Maurita Harris, AIA, NOMA. In conversation, the architects will discuss their origin stories, how they entered the profession, who their mentors have been, what challenges they’ve encountered and managed, their perspectives on leadership; and what advice they have for the next generation. Also this evening, the Say It Loud! exhibition will be available to view in the AIA Arizona office.
