Hello all and welcome to the third Coffee Talk of the Year!
This month, we will be talking about Flip the Script — Strengths and Positive Experiences that Being a Woman/Minority/LGBTQ+ Person Brings to Your Profession at Zingara Market in Scottsdale. Within these communities, we have experienced and heard of many difficulties and challenges but, as we say in NOMA, “Our strength is our diversity.” With that being so, we would like to dedicate this Coffee Talk to sharing and celebrating the strengths you bring as a woman/minority/LGBTQ+ person into your profession. We’d love to welcome and celebrate you on March 23rd and would be honored for you to help celebrate and welcome others. See you soon!
About Zingara Market: Zingara Market is a woman, brazilian owned coffee shop and restaurant. They are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and have amazing and unique selections.
What are Coffee Talks? Coffee Talks are a NOMAarizona monthly event. Order a warm/iced beverage of your choice from rotating cafe locations around the valley. In Coffee Talks, we come together to share, listen, and learn in a casual setting. This is a place where topics both light and heavy can be discussed welcomingly while learning from different perspectives and joining in community. We encourage all to join in conversation as we explore many topics and coffee shops with NOMAarizona.
Follow up: Each Coffee Talk, the facilitators take notes. Individual stories and names are not included in the notes to maintain confidentiality of each person. These notes are used to create a recap to post to the
NOMAarizona website as a tool for others to learn from and observe new perspectives.
