Affiliations/Registrations: AIA, NOMA, NCARB, LEED BD+C He also serves on the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration, NCARB ARE Development Committee, Urban Land institute DEI Committee and AIA Phoenix Metro Secretary.
Origin: Carlos was born in Sonora Mexico, and spent his early childhood living in Mexico City, a place that he considers had a great impact in his later interest in the built environment.
Personal Focus: Design as a catalyst of behavior in the place we live; as we merge into our land, communities, and environment, we have a significant impact that can benefit or harm. I believe that simple design strategies can change how we impact the place we live in and change our behavior towards our environment.
