On February 24 , NOMAarizona will be hosting a The Coffee Talk on Reflecting on Black
Resilience! Here, we will share our stories, learn from each other, honor the founders of
NOMA, and much more. Come join us from 10am to 11:30 at Skoden Coffee and Tea in
Phoenix to gather to discuss how our history, resilience, and drive has gotten us to where we
are today!
About the coffee shop : Skoden is a queer, indigenous owned and ran coffee and tea shop with
its first location being within the Navajo Nation. Skoden translates to “let’s go then,” and aims to
operate as an inclusive, welcoming, home-like space. This lovely shop pays tribute to their
indigenous culture through their ingredients, featured creatives, and way of operation. We at
NOMAarizona cannot wait to support Skoden Coffee and Tea while having an insightful
conversation and BlacK Resilience! See you there!
Curious about what Coffee Talks are? Coffee Talks are conversations organized by
NOMAarizona that take place at revolving coffee shops around Arizona. Here, we come
together to share, listen, and learn in a casual setting. This is a place where topics both light
and heavy can be discussed welcomingly while learning from different perspectives and joining
in community. We encourage all to join in the conversation as we explore many topics and
coffee shops with NOMAarizona.
