DESCRIPTION:Join Founding Member Gary J. Nelson\, AIA\, NOMA\, Architect for the City of Phoenix Office of the Engineer\, for an enlightening discussion on navigating the Municipal sector. Gary will share his firsthand experience and delve into projects in the pipeline and key trends shaping the field. This session promises valuable insights into the evolving landscape of municipal architecture and engineering. \nThe Phoenix metro area is one of the fastest-growing communities in the US. As a result\, cities need to expand their facilities that serve their constituents (e.g.\, community centers\, offices\, municipal facilities). \nThe increase of opportunities calls for design professionals to have strategic approaches to being selected for projects. This seminar will provide some tips in public sector business development and marketing\, from does and don’ts in generating Statement of Qualifications to how to identify and prepare for upcoming opportunities in cities. \nGary J. Nelson is an architect for the CIty of Phoenix. Prior to joining the city\, he has over 20 years in the private sector pursuing and winning municipal projects.
